“Selecting music in a milonga is like writing a story. There is always a thread, sometimes rather abstract, other times more concrete, that connects the various pieces, letting emerge step by step an emotion, or an image, or a memory or that indefinable shift of the heart worth dancing for”.

Sara loves to travel sweetly between different musical styles, be it tango or not. Her selection is rich in variation and goes from the traditional tangos to the alternative music, which proportion varies according to the context, being invited in both traditional festivals and milongas as in more alternative settings and neotango marathons.

Together with the other members of the collective, she works since 2003 on the musical project “Sulle rive del Tango” - a selection of non traditional tango - that actually has 5 compilations published and distributed throughout Europe, three weekly milongas (in Naples, Milan and Barcelona), a lot of participations in meetings and festivals in various countries, various deejays and people who collaborate in the musical research and in the poetics of the project.

Above all she loves looking for tango that ‘is hidden’ in different music genres.
